Eddy Yang
Writer / Director
Eddy Yang is a student film director, screenwriter and cinematographer known for grounded narratives and colorful visuals. His works are deeply personal stories livened by empathetic characters and explores topics of queerness, human connection and personal growth. He is a graduate of McGill University and is currently attending Humber College for Film and Television Production.
Ella Ella (2022), his debut documentary short, is a Best Short LGBTQ’s Film winner at the Toronto Independent Film Festival of Cift and a Best Student Film winner at the Markham International Film Festival. Currently, he is in development for his debut narrative short Between Hands (2024) and works as the Director of Photography for the short film Luty (2024), a film about the war in Ukraine.
Vanna Tran
Producer
Vanna Tran is a Vietnamese-Canadian writer and producer currently based in Toronto. Her short films have screened at local film festivals including: Toronto Lift-Off, Toronto Independent Film Festival of CIFT, Markham International Film Festival, Shorts Not Pants, AltFF, Canada Shorts, Hamilton Queer, Muskoka Queer Film Festival, LGBTQ+ Toronto, and Toronto Short Film Festival.
She strongly identifies with stories of underrepresented individuals and personal experiences. She is a creative and visionary film producer with a passion for groundbreaking and culturally relevant films.
Currently, she is in development for a narrative short and an animated short.
